
Dr. Lori Reichel has over 35 years of health education experience teaching both in the PreK-12 and university settings. After receiving the NYS AHPERD HE TOY (2007), the Eastern Division AAHPERD HE TOY (2009), and the National AAHE HE POY (2010), Lori chose to train future school health educators by working full time at the university setting. The 2026 Health Literacy Advocacy Award recipient from the National Academy of Health and Physical Literacy, Lori strives to support all children and youth in becoming strongly life-skilled to be the healthiest young people they can be. Author of numerous books, including her most recent titled Tactile Tools for Social Emotional Learning Activities to Help Children Self-Regulate with SEL, PreK-5, she is the person behind the School Health Educators podcast and its corresponding website, SchoolHealthEducators.org.
